Mrs. Leonard's Pre-K class had such an exciting month caring for chicken eggs in an incubator! Each student took turns placing the eggs inside, choosing fun names for them, and eagerly waiting the full 21 days for the hatchlings to arrive. Their patience paid off when 20 adorable, healthy baby chicks finally hatched! The kids got to watch the hatching process unfold and will continue caring for the chicks for the next week before they head back to their farm home.

The fun didn’t stop there—our class also visited STEM with Mrs. Butcher to build cozy enclosures for toy goats. The students were thrilled when the tiny chicks made a surprise visit to the STEM room, and they had a blast testing their enclosures to see how well they could keep the chicks contained. Some of the kids were amazed at just how easily those little chicks could hop over the walls!chickschickschickschickschickschickschickschickschickschicks
